Community Garden

The Sam Herrick Community Garden is one of our favorite parts of our church. One section has boxes that anyone from the surrounding community can rent and enjoy the results of their efforts. This facility is used to teach children and families about growing fresh produce.

The largest plots in the garden are reserved to grow food for the surrounding community. Our garden stewards select, plant, tend, and harvest the best plants to grow for our local food banks. In this way, we can help combat the problem of food deserts in San Diego, and more people can have the nutrition they need.
