Adult Programs
Weeknight Education
St. Timothy’s has a long tradition of seasonal weeknight education programs. Adult education is a time for study but also for fellowship and discussions about issues that are relevant and meaningful to us. We have coffee and light snacks or even as we discuss our readings. We encourage everyone to join our group and experience the support of a loving community of learners where laughter is genuine and questions are honest. Contact the office to find out what programs may be happening right now.
Men’s and Women’s Bible Study
Our Bible study groups, traditionally meeting the first Saturday of the month, have been another important part of parish life. We have discussed not only the texts of the Bible itself, but also how these relate to our everyday faith and humanity.
Ideas may come from theology, philosophy, psychology, mythology, or anthropology. We seek to find our own voice so we can find our faith authentically. Our discussions are lively, challenging, serious and fun. We share laughter, a deep spirit of inquiry and we learn so much from each other.
Although our Bible Study groups are on pause during our transition, we hope they will begin again with our new rector.
Sunday Forums
Sunday Forums are interactive teaching and discussion sessions, led either by the rector or by a guest speaker. They cover a wide range of topics from theology to ecology to virus mutations to computer safety.
